Cross Country Season Wrap
With ladders now final the season is officially over it was a very successful year for the club on the team front, with the male open division 3 team finishing 3rd on the ladder a great effort after promotion from division 4 last season. The depth of the club was shown this year with the division 7 team in the top 2 for all but the first 2 rounds of the season, finishing 2nd at seasons end and earning promotion, so well done to Travis Lam, Dom, Jayvel, Mark, Frank, Matt, Sam and Glen on your great efforts this season. In the Female open category the team maintained its spot in division 3 largely due to Talia running 9 of 10 rounds another great effort. A number of junior teams finished in the top 10 scoring points at different rounds this season, a first for the club for a number of years well done to all involved in a junior team this season.
On the individual side of results the stand out for the juniors was Hailie who finished 8th in the overall champion athlete standings in female under 14s despite being one of the youngest runners in the age group, her best performance being a 4th place at St Annes in Ravenswood in round 3. On the overage side of things the ever green Mark was 13th on the champion athlete table for the 45-49 age group at seasons end, Mark's best finish came at Burnley in round 9 where he placed 5th in his age group, Mark along with Patrick and Zach ran every race of the season. Other top 10 finishes during the season include Hudson, Travis Blok and Thea in the juniors. While Matt finished inside the top 10 in 50-54 once during the season as well.
